Orbi RBR750 1 Gig up and down at router, but 1 Gig up at PC and only 400-500 Mbps down
I Just switched ISP, and now have 1Gig fiber UP AND DOWN. I verified the speed at the router, using both the Orbi app speed test as well as the Orbi configuration webpage, and it is 1 Gig both ways. The same is true when running a speed test on my mobile phone. However, on my PC, which is connected via Ethernet, I only get 400-500 Mbps DOWN, but still the full 900Mbps to 1 Gig UP. Since I do get the full upload speed, I don't think it's an issue with my network card or cabling. Any configuration at the router or PC that could affect the download speed only?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended. What is the brand and model# of the ethernet adapter in this PC?
Be sure the adapter drivers are up to date.
Try a different ethernet adapter or try a different PC.
Be sure ALL background running apps on the PC are fully closed.
Be sure to use Ooklas installable speed test app instead of using the browser based speed test site.

Hi FURRYe38, thanks for replying.
Orbi Firmware: V4.6.9.11_2.3.5
Not quite sure what I'm looking at, but there's a Nokia unit P/N starting with 3MV007, which has a blue button labeled "ONT Reset", which is tie wrapped to a device with the Frontier logo identified as XGS-PON ONT, Model FRX523.
I believe my ethernet cable is a CAT5
Ethernet adapter is a Realtek PCI3 GBE Family Controller, latest driver the best I can tell.
I am running the OOKLA app as well as the browser-based speed tests, and they come up with the same result: my upload speeds are double the download speeds, i.e. close to 1 Gig up vs. 400-500 Mpbs down.
I don't have another PC or laptop for testing.

I believe my ethernet cable is a CAT5 <CAT5 doesn't support 1000Mpbs, was only rated for 100Mpbs. I recommend installing CAT6 at least between the ONT and RBR and any wired devices to the RBR.
