Orbi RBR850

I purchased the RBR850 with 2 satellites.  I could not get the install to work with my iPhone, so I used a laptop.  I installed the router and was installing the satellites when the solid white light on the router went out.  So i powered everything down and plugged it back in, blinking white, then no light. 

So I hit the reset briefly and it did the same thing.  Someone suggested to me that the firmware might be corrupt or need an update.  So I held the reset button in for a longer time to restore the router. I started again, got to a point where I could update the firmware, it was going along and then the light went out again.

Any ideas before I return this thing.  I'd be more confident but I had install issues with the first one that we bought and Netgear gave up.  Either i have some kind of bad luck or I don't know what
