ORBi RBSE960 - Dead with no activity Light

Greetings,

 

I have an ORBi 960 Satellite that is essentially dead. There is no green light activity for the DC connection as there is with my other satellite (I have 2). The netgear AC adapter works with my other satellite, so I know it's not the adapter, however the dead satellite will not work with any netgear AC adapters. I have isolated the problem to the satellite itself. I've had the item since Jan 2023 and it's already dead after sitting in an office the entire time. The 1-year wrannty is expired and I a, not willing to buy another one for fear that this may happen again. Does anyone have any advice?

    If a different power adapter doesn't change the power LED, then RBS is probably bad and needs replacing.

    If a different supply doesn't power it on, if you're ok with it, try disassembling it and check the power jack with a multimeter. I've had a kid/cat knock my router off and break the internal jack on my RAX200. A couple jumpers and it was working again.
