Orbi Wifi 6 (Model RBK753S-100NAS) compatibility with Canon MF733Cdw
We are having issues connecting the Canon MF733Cdw to the Orbi router -- I've seen a few articles several years back that state issues with frequency 2.4 G vs 5G. Can someone outline the steps to either troubleshoot/resolve this issue?
From the Canon Printer Menu (on the device) - we have performed the following steps successfully (no connection errors and the message "connected" received). However, the printer does not show up in the printer lists for any of the other devices connected to the wireless network.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/feedback.
Select <Menu> in the Home screen.
Select <Preferences> <Network> If the login screen appears, enter the correct ID and PIN. (Default ID and PIN 7654321)
Select <Wireless LAN Settings>. If the <Do you want to enable the wireless LAN?> message is displayed, select <Yes>.
Read the message that is displayed, and select <OK>.
Select <SSID Settings>.
Select <Select Access Point>. The machine starts searching for available wireless routers.
Select a wireless LAN router. Select the router whose SSID matches the one that you have written down, and select <Next>.
To view details of security settings: Select the wireless LAN router, and select <Details>. To return to the original screen, select
Enter the network key that you have written down and select <Apply>.
Select <Yes>.
Select <Close>, check whether the network key is correct, and return to step 5.
Wait until message <Connected.> is displayed.
Select <Close>. Wait several minutes until the IP address and other items are set automatically.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
Be sure FW is up to date on the printer.
Try disabling AX mode on either frequency temporarily.
Try setting CTS to 2347 Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Contact the Mfr of the printer for additional help and information regarding there product.
Try using the LAN cable connection if thats supported on the printer...
You shouldn't have a problem with 5Ghz if you are connecting to wireless via the printer and it supports WPA2 - It can only see and list and will only connect to 2.4Ghz networks. The issues with 5Ghz sharing SSID with 2.4Ghz occurs when a phone app is used to setup the device, so the phone's connection to 5Ghz confuses the app and the 2.4Ghz-only device on which wireless network to connect to.
For best Orbi AX system wireless compatibility with older wireless devices, go to orbilogin.com and under Advanced Wireless Settings set CTS/RTS threshold to 2347. If that doesn't work try unchecking (disabling) AX mode for 2.4Ghz.
