Possible to add AX1800 satellite to AX6000 system?

Hi,

I already have an existing AX6000 router and satellite on our two floors.  We've recently extended into the loft, so need to extend wifi up to the new third floor.  The existing RBS850 satellite doesn't seem to offer much coverage up there, though I have established that the wireless backhaul would be fine.

To keep cost down, is it possible to add an AX1800 (RBS350) satellite to this setup?

Thanks

Mark

  • Thanks.  I double checked with Netgear support and they confirmed:

"The only compatible satellites with your RBR850 are RBS850 and RBS750 only."

  • I don't think they are compatible. The 3 series is a dual band system vs the 8 series which is tri band system.

  • In that case, how about adding an AX4200 satellite? I believe that line is tri-band
