Power orbi RBS850 satelite using poe splitter

I consider to buy the orbi RBK852 but there is no power outlet on the location where I want to place the satelite. Can I use a poe (power over ethernet) injector and a poe splitter (like the tplinkPoE-150S/TL-POE10R) to power this satelite? Can somebody tell me what size of 12v plug is needed to feed the orbi's?

  • My understanding is the RBS850's power supply is 12v 3.5amp.
    so 42 watt. The tplink tl-poe10r only supplies Output: 12VDC 1A, 9VDC 1A, 5VDC 2A selectable.
so only 1 amp at 12v. Probably not enough to power it and be stable.
