RBK753 Losing Internet

Hardware type: Orbi

Hardware Version: RBR750

Firmware Version: V7.2.6.31 (latest as of 10/8/24)

Purchased: 8/2/2024

Satellites: 2

Backhaul:  LAN (Cat 6, Daisychain)

Distance to Satellites:  Sat 1 - 45ft, Sat 2 - 70ft

Devices connected: 39

Internet service: Ziply Fiber 900Mbs

Problem:  Twice in the past three days the internet has been dropped.  Orbi router has flashing red ring.  Only way to get everything back online is to use the Orbi App and reboot the router, at which point it slowly reconnects to the internet and all of the devices are added back and available.  What is solution please?

  • What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

Front LED being RED or PINK means the RBR isn't getting a good connection from the ISP modem or ONT.

Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter.

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router and satellites been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
    Turn off and unplug modem.
    Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?
