RBK852 keeps broadcasting default SSID

I've setup my new RBK852 with the RBS850 connected through the wifi backhaul. I've also got two RBS20s and one RBS50 connected by ethernet. I've set up my wifi and guest wifi with unique SSIDs.
My problem is that the default SSID (ORBI70...shown at the bottom of the router and satellite) continues being broadcast. I'm also able to log into the default network using the default wifi password at the bottom of my router/satellite.
Logging into the router doesn't show the ORBI70 SSID anywhere.
Fw: 3.2.18.1_1.4.14

Here's what I've tried so far:

I've rebooted my modem (bridge mode) and RBK852 several times leaving it all disconnected for a few minutes with no success.

I've also renamed my own SSID to ORBI70, then renamed it to its unique name, and the default still shows up.

I've done a full reset and started from scratch...still no success.

What am I missing?

  • The default name being seeing on the 8 series system or is this on the other RBS you have if you have them connected?

Which unit are you seeing the default SSID being broadcast?

      • Try a factory reset on the RBR and RBS. After you reset the RBS, turn it OFF.

Setup the RBR from scratch and as you walk thru the setup wizard, be sure to input a custome SSID name that is different from the default one. Make it something fun. Can be anything. Once the RBR is setup, check on a device to see if the SSID is default or the new one...
