RBK853 AP + nodes vs WAP

Would using my RBK853 system as an Access Point with a few nodes, instead of a router, just be a more expensive set-up than having a few WAP (Ubiquiti) throughout my office area? I am struggling to understand any real benefit between either setup.

Ubiquiti WAP refers to this??? https://store.ui.com/us/en/collections/unifi-wifi-flagship-compact

The first thing I see is that Ubiquiti WAP requires an Ethernet connection to provide Power over Ethernet (PoE) and the communication path.  Orbi satellites have the option of using an Ethernet link to the router, but  were originally designed to function with a WiFi link to the router. And, they require an electrical outlet.  Thus, they are not really suitable for ceiling mounting (the obvious way to deploy the WAP).

My guess is that in practical terms, they offer similar features.

Netgear has a line of Orbi "Pro" products which are designed more for commercial deployments.  The 853 package is geared to residential usage.

Sorry not to be more help.

Thank you for the reply. I guess my comparison was is there any real advantage to having an OrbiRBK in AP mode vs any WAP? Even consider the Netgear AX3000 Dual-Band PoE Multi-Gig Insight Managed Wifi 6 Access Point as an example. I guess the Orbi satellites would have a larger coverage area, but you are also paying a premium for other unused components of the Orbi, especially if you use a wired backhaul to each satellite.

If you have a really office and office networking configuration, looking into small business or business class WAP would be recommended as the Orbi AX systems here are home class products, thus may not be ideal for an office or business setting or configuration. NG does have Orbi Pro line that is specifically more idea for the office or business environment.
