RBK853 Link Aggregation and Access Point Mode
Why is link aggregation turned off when I put the RBK853 (AX6000) system into Access Point mode?
I don't see why this would be turned off. If I have a network system that can support that level of throughput then why limit me just because I go into Access Point mode and not use the Orbi system as a router.

LAG is a WAN to LAN supported feature only in router mode. Not LAN to LAN. It interfaces with a ISP modem that supports LAG on the WAN side only. Like NGs CM1100 and CM1200 cable modems.

I hear what you are saying... but from a functional perspective it really makes no sense. WAN-to-LAN or LAN-to-LAN -- what difference does it make. In Access Point mode you are still typically plugged into what would have been the WAN port. So, why not still allow people to link that port together with the adjacent port in a LAN-to-LAN configuration and allow them to take advantage of the 2.5Gb backhaul of the AX system?
I have a Cisco RV345 with two WAN ISP connections coming in as well as a server that is LAG'd to that. So internally most of my critical devices are all running a 2Gb.
It seems unfortunate to limit the AX system to 1Gb just because I'm running it in Access Point mode due to have another router in front of it.
I realize the AX Orbi is more for the home consumer. Maybe this is something that the business AX would have accomodated.
Orbi AX for home is it what it is. NGs design. Someting to check out on the business class side.
Good Luck.
