rbr 850

I have a ORBI RBR850 with three satellites.  I log in to the router and It shows that I am getting internet connection and plenty of speed (2.4G).  When I log in to the app it shows no internet connection.  I am also having a number of my devices losing connections.  I am looking for suggestions.  I don't want to spend the money to upgrade to next mesh system. I have tried the normal reboots and resets.  My network hasn't always worked this bad and I do have a large house (4500 sqft) I am looking for suggestions

  • Some additional troubleshooting may be helpful.

Is it obvious that the system does have an internet connection, in the sense that a number of devices are connected to the system and are performing normally (web surfing, streaming video, reading/sending email, doing what they normally do)?

If this is the case, that points to a problem with the device running the Orbi 'app'.  Perhaps it is not connected to the internet, either through WiFi or the cellular network.  (Hint: has Anywhere Access been enabled on the Orbi app on this device?)

Is it always the same devices that appear to have network issues?  If there a distinct pattern to the problems?  Do they seem to be related to one of the satellites?

No I am getting internet and the ip address says it has internet.  I think I am going to do a factory reset and see if that works.  Such a pain.  I am also getting significant disconnecting by devices.  Thank you for your help

  • What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

For that size of home, having 3 RBS deployed maybe too much:

I have a 5K sq ft home and run two RBS with power set to 25%. I can get away with one RBS with power set to 100%.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

What channel configurations are currently set on the router?
