RBR750 and Fiber - Won't get full connection
Hi All, As a last straw - I really don't want to pay hundreds for a new Mesh system - I was reaching out here - apparently Netgear now charges for a year at a time of support (guess that started ...
Firmware is V6.3.8.5_1.4.80
It's an Adtran SDX632v
None of the options requested to disable are enabled at all.
No other routers - so not in AP mode.
Some additional background - initially testing to the ONT Directly, my computer would not full download, but still cap upload at 160/170 - I went into the ethernet settings directly and disabled QOS on the computer network card itself, and that fixed my issues. However I just tested another ONT direct connection with that same computer - and now it's reflecting similar to the ORBI -
I'm not sure if this is an ORBI issue as much as it is an ONT issue -
I have tried a couple of unmanaged switches between the ONT and the Router - and even ONT and computer directly.
Could ONTs have odd behavior in general with aftermarket routers? That doesn't make sense - I spoke with their top engineers and they had absolutely no idea what else to do - they rebuilt everything on their side, checked the NOC HUB, everything -

v6 FW was not a valid number for a RBR750 series. You sure you have 750 series? v6 was valid for the RBR760 series I believe: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/rbr760/#download
Ya seen posts with Adtran ONTs and Orbi systems historically having odd problems. Something to try would be a non managed 1Gb or MultiGb switch in between the ONT and RBR and see if this changes anything. Some interoperability issue with some ONTs.
It is indeed an RBR750P - satellite is RBS750P

I know if I call them they are going to say their equipment works, mine doesn't and to use theirs - but I'm a stubborn old mule. Why have all this fancier equipment if I have to throw it all away and use there's - plus these Orbi's provide WAY better coverage and wifi speeds than theirs if they are up and working properly.Ok that explains it. I never had this system and can only presume it may have not been able to support syncronous ISPs speeds out the gate.
The actual 750 non P series was a mid level system and most likely has better support for syncronus ISP speeds up to 1Gb:

So I would find you a in between router that can handling your 1G UP and Down speeds, then if you like the WiFi coverage ability of the 750P series, then configured it for AP mode and run it in that configuration.
Ahh - well that sucks.
I can also confirm I set up the ISP provided router in bridge mode (disabled WIFI and used it as a switch, it didn't have an actual "bridge" mode) - and I was able to get better speeds, though my download suffered a bit more when the upload kicked, so that's probably why - the syncronous speeds issue.Ok - well - I will just hook up the ISP Provided wifi stuff later and think about upgrading down the road and make it work for now, thanks for your help!
