RBR750 compatibility with RBS50Y
I've had the RBR40 router and RBS40 satellites with an RBS50Y system for quite a few years now, although I still have some issues with connectivity and sometimes losing connection all together but I want to blame the main source for that sometimes, I recently got my hands on a hand me down, (newer system for me) the RBR750 router with RBS750 satellites, I am wondering if I can connect these together with the RBS50Y and eliminate the older versions out of the equation and connect with the new system? Im not sure if it'll be compatible with the 750 which is why I'm on here asking for any advice I can get or links to help with the new set up.

The RBS40V cannot be part of the RBR750 system as a "mesh satellite". Notice the footnote in this table:

If put into "Extender Mode", the RBS40V satellite will connect to the 750 system and function as a WiFi Extender, just as it would with any brand of WiFi system. The issue is that devices will not roam seamlessly between the RBS40V and the other Orbi units. The only devices to be affected are mobile devices (phones, tablets, laptops). Devices which do not move will function with no problem.
Yes, it is truly annoying that Netgear designed the product this way. But, "that's life".
The RBS50Y can connect to the 750 series system, as long as it's in Extender mode which is a FW change.
Depending on distances between the 750 system and the RBS50Y, wifi devices could roam, however roaming depends on how well wifi devices are designed and supported for roaming and how capable they are of roaming between signals.
