RBR750 in AP Mode Satellites won't connect wireless (only wired)
Hi All,
I've been pulling my hair out for the last couple of hours. Here's the thing:
I've switched internet providers.
Previously I had the RBR750 working as a router in my network. Everything worked smoothly.
In the new situation, the new modem/router can't be set to "bridge mode" (not a feature, alas).
So, no problem I thought, as the RBR can be set to Access Point mode (AP)
Did that, and lost connection with all 3 satellites. Tried to sync, but that didn't work.
reset all. tried again. nothing. RBR750 works, gets new IP from the modem/router. wifi works.
Finally tried the wired backhaul option, that seems to work. But that really restricts where I can put them. I didn't buy them to be wired up (besides power)
Anybody seen similar behaviour? is there a fix?
Thanks!

What firmware is on the router and the satellites?
I've ran my setup in ap mode in both wired and wireless so just curious.

Hi,
I am running 4.6.5.14.
You?
Going to update them to the one i found posted on this forum, but that version is not posted on netgear support site.
So i'll have to find out if that is going to help.

I believe I have 4.6.7.5 on mine but their not currently connected/running because i'm using a sxk30 right now.
You can try the newer firmware
make sure you install it to the satellites first and then the router. You might have to hardwire in the satellites to update them.
then do a factory reset/reintall (not from a backup).
