RBR750 says great connection is ORBI speed test on app, devices get no internet
My ORBI network is very intermittent with wifi connectivity to the internet. According the the ORBI app I have 300 mbps download speeds, but if I connect my iphone to the network and try to run a speed test through my browser, I get nothing. The speedtest webpage won't even load.
My modem is also a wireless router and that network is still putting out a good connection if you're near it. Wired devices into that router/modem all operate flawlessly.
The router is wired to the modem with our main television wired to that router. The other 2 satelites are spread throughout the house. Any device connected to the ORBI router wifi gets zero internet access. The TV had been able to stream through its wired connection but that seems done now too.
I have reset everything, rebooted everything.
Thoughts?

Is this problem constant or intermittant? Devices work correctly some times, or never?

Right now, nothing seems to be working. The tv, which is wired to the router, usually streamed without issue but was slow to load shows. Mobile devices connected to the wifi seem to be the biggest problem. Super slow browsing, if it worked at all.
So I guess the answer is intermittent, but until today it wasn't a total outage just real bad internet speeds on the wifi even though the router said it had good download speeds and I know it's not the modem or ISP
The Orbi 'app' is not well equipped to handle unusual circumstances. Do you have some device that can access the router web management interface? (PC, laptop, tablet? phone screens are too small to be useful with the Orbi web interface).
Two things that are useful to know:
- What firmware is on the 750 router?
(The app will display this on the device screen. The current firmware for the 750 is v4.6.8.2 which came out on April 27, 2022. - Is there actually internet access, but the Domain Name Service (DNS) resolution is not working?
This can be tested by using some app that can 'ping' IP addresses. PCs and laptops can open a "command window" where the user can type a command, such as ping 1.1.1.1.
Android phones have several apps that can do this, including Fing, Network Analyzer, Network Tools.
If a ping to ford.com fails, but a ping to 19.12.97.37 works, then the issue is with DNS.
When you mentioned reset, was that a Factory Reset?
