RBR850 - unable to upgrade firmware
My RBR50 has an old firmware installed (v4.6.13.3) and neither the iOS app nor the orbilogin.com interface show any upgrades as being available, despite v7.2.6.21 being available.
When I try manually downloading v7.2.6.21 and unzipping to my macOS and logging in via either orbilogin.com OR my device's IP address, whenever I try to manually update the firmware to the latest and upload the .chk file, after 5-6 seconds it consistently returns the message "Firmware upgrade failed. Please check your file."
As such, I'm stuck and unable to upgrade. Please help?
What browser are you using to download the FW files? If you have RBS along with the RBR, you need the two separate files, RBS and RBR. Be sure your unpacking the FW files from the .zip files to reveal the actual .chk files that have to be sent using the RBS and RBR web pages.

Was RBR50 a typo? Router is for certain RBR750?
Geez. Got in a hurry and made a typo myself. RBR850 vs. RBR50???
Very seldom (very, very seldom) the downloaded file is corrupted and will not work. Always a good idea to download a new copy and unzip it.
- bdoubledizzleAspirantMy Orbi WiFi router is definitely RBR850.
And I wondered the same so downloaded firmware zip file 3x. Same result every time. đ
