RBR850 constant pink light disconnects
Hi… I’ve had the Orbi Wifi 6 Router and 2 satellites since soon after release. I always keep them up to date, and I’ve had nothing but a good experience with them (though I wish I had a 3rd satellite for more coverage!).
Just recently I’ve been having regular disconnects where I get the pink light on the router, but the NBN FTTP modem shows no disconnect, and a simple unplug/replug brings everything back up, though the satellites seem to take a while sometimes to reconnect.
I have tried restarting my nbn modem, and regularly check my isp outage page but there doesn’t seem to be any issues there and rebooting the modem hasn’t had any positive effect. I’m still getting disconnects on the router anything from once a week to twice in a single day.
Is there something wrong with my router? As I said, always latest firmware, and I assume if one of those was bad, they would have shipped out a fix shortly after. The only other thing that has happened recently was we had some seriously bad power issues for about a week, where we lost power probably 30-40 times, and either cycled back on by itself or required a fuse flip.
Any suggestions? Anyone else have the same Orbi’s and having the same issues? If they were cheap I’d just buy a new set, but I sold a kidney for this lot, so don’t want to replace them unless I really have to.
Thanks in advance….

It would be helpful to know the specific firmware version on the router and satellites. To address issues regarding setup of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, Netgear released new firmware for the 750 and 850 products a year ago (and then updated it once since then). The forum has numerous discussions regarding issues with the firmware and some users have chosen to manually downgrade their system to the previous firmware.
There also have been numerous discussions regarding Australia's NBN network and the new firmware.
- Gpsydney33AspirantConfirming the current firmware on the RBR850 and RBS’s are all v7.2.6.31 which after further searching/reading seems to be the problem. I’m going to wait until Monday when the family isn’t at home and downgrade the RBS’s then RBR back to x.21 and see if that solves my problem. Have read that x.31 is likely the problem and NG hasn’t shipped a solution yet to users for that.

Yes, please downgrade the system back to v.21.
You'll need to factory reset and setup from scratch again after v.21 has been applied.
NG is aware of the issues in v.31. No idea when new FW will be forth coming. So v.21 for now. It's solid.
