RBR850 Dropping packets and lag spikes
Hi,
Over the past three weeks, I've been having the occasional odd behavior with my RBR850 router. Everything will be working properly with very fast response times and then all of a sudden I'll start experiencing packet drops, lag spikes, and then a square wave profile to router ping response times as shown here from a PingPlotter screen grab:
In the above, packet loss is about 10% and average ping response time is 290 ms and will eventually revert back to normal behavior. I was first tipped off to an issue when my boys were complaining that they were "lagging hard" while gaming.
I'm on the latest firmware (v 4.6.9.11) and this is the first time in 10 months that I've experienced issues with my Orbi. The issue will reappear following rebooting.
Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide on what might be causing the issue and what I can do / try to fix this.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

Thanks for your reply. The router is connected to a Technicolor modem, model TC-4400-AM via a Cat8 ethernet cable.
I have not done a factory reset and set-up from scratch since the last FW update. If that's what I need to do, should I do the same on the satellite? If so, then in what order?
Thanks again.
Do you see these same or different ping plotter results with the PC connected to the ISP modem directly with out the RBR in the middle?
Factory reset the RBS, then RBR then Power off the ISP modem for 30 seconds then back ON. Then walk thru the setup wizard on the RBR...Don't reload any saved backup config from file for now.
