RBR852 - Problems with SkyQ

Hi,

Having just installed a RBR852 I’m having problems with my main SkyQ box remaining connected to the Orbi.

My understanding is that it connects via 2.4Ghz.

The initial connection seems fine but is seems unable to maintain connectivity.

I am aware that SkyQ creates its own 5Ghz mesh but my issues is with the 2.4Ghz connection between the main SkyQ box and the Orbi which is uses for connectivity to the Internet.

Thanks in advance.

  • What Firmware version is currently loaded?

What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Try setting CTS values to 2347 under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings

      Thanks for the reply.

Around 30ft. All other devices are fine and I am getting 350Mbps (max isp) from the satellite.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz.
      Tried them all already.

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many? Nothing worth noting.

Try setting CTS values to 2347 under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Set CTS to 2347 rebooted Router and Satellite made no difference.

Might try to see if the device connects better with out the RBS being online and see if it keeps connected to the RBR only.

Also try disabling AX mode on the RBR as well and see...
