RBR853 Satellite Replacement Power Plug....

Ok, so I managed to snap the little lug that secures the socket pins to the power brick. Thinking this was an easy fix by contacting Netgear for a replacement only to be told nope tough titty you need to find an alternative power adapter with the same output and that will do. Erm no it darn well won't. That in mho, is not an appropriate way forward for a product that cost in excess of £900 when purchased.

I'm sure this is not news to the majority of you on here but I am not impressed. So, my question is this, does anyone have a spare UK 3 pin adapter that I can purchase or know were I can get one? I've looked on flee bay and don't really want to purchase an entire power lead if I can help it. Google's not much of a friend either.

Thanks.

Ya NG isn't great for replacements.

Look for replacement adapters on amazon.

    I would try SuperGlue.

What happens when you contact the manufacturer of your television or computer and ask for the same part?

I'd agree with CrimpOn superglue/epoxy might be your best option and better than the 3rd party power supplies. It looks like your connections will be fine, its just the retainer clip. A bit of JB weld epoxy would probably be stronger than the original clip anyway.
