RBR860 connected devices lose internet but remain connected

Hi All...

I have and RBR860 connected to Cox cable with Gig speed.  The router has an excellent connection to the internet and that never changes or drops.  That part seems very stable and fast.  The problems begin when devices connect to the wireless networks of the RBR860.  I have a main network and the guest network enabled.  My house in one level and 2800 square feet.  The RBR860 is located in the center of the house with no satellites.  There are no signal strength issues.  All devices report a strong signal when connected.

1st problem:

Every laptop, Iphone, Ipad, and PC with a wifi network adapter loses internet connection on a regular basis.  To be clear, the device stays connected to the router and does not drop connection.  They respond to pings and will show up in the connected device list.  They cannot connect to the internet randomly and will not if you disconnect and reconnect.  If the affected device disconnects from that network and connects to the second wireless network such as the guest network it will get an internet connection and maintain it until it randomly looses internet again.  At that point you disconnect from that network and reconnect to the other one to get back on the internet.  The frequency varies from several times daily to once or twice a week.

2nd problem:

Older or less advanced devices such as a PS4, garage door openers, smart light switches, and washing machines will only see the guest network and connect to it.  They never see, find or locate the main network.

I called support about this twice and no resolutions were found.  They had me reset the settings and then try to download the APAC version of a later firmware and apply it to a North American router.  I questioned this, they said don't worry.  The router said it could not apply it as I expected.  I never bothered calling back as it didn't seem like a good way to spend my time if they were just going to guess and read scripts.

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR📡 and RBS🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
