RBRE 960 with AT&T should firewall and packet filter be disabled?

Having IP Passthrough mode enabled on AT&T Fiber to RBRE960, should all the firewall advanced settings and packet filter be disabled on AT&T side?

My guess is that enabling Passthrough mode will do that automatically.  If the Orbi router is not set to allow connections from the internet (OpenVPN or port forwarding), then it probably makes no difference whether connection attempts are stopped at the AT&T router or at the Orbi router.

    Hello guguwi,

    Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!

I understand that you would like more information on the operations of IP passthrough. IP passthrough only by passes the router for the specific device receiving the public IP address. The firewall remains active for other network security implementations.
