RBRE960 strange WiFi drop
Hi all,
I have RBRE960 (Orbi) MESH with two satelites since about 2 years. One Satelite is connected with LAN cable, other with wifi.
There is an annoying amount of WiFi drop in every device we use (iPad, Phones, Latop). Actually since we have them.
The modem from the Service provider has WiFi turned off. Orbi has IoT off, Guest WiFi Off.
The stranges thing is, that I can get a completly wrong IP address while using net und while reamining connected to my network (Blackforest). There is no internet communication is possible of course in such case. The only solution is to "forget" the network, give in new the password and reconnect.
A complett mistery how can this happen. Two screenshots, first with the wrong IP address (169...) and the with the correct.

Trying to upload some pictures, but it just wont...I have them under saved photo then nothing. Oh well...
One picture shows that I have the network address of 255.255.0.0 with and IP address of 169.254.21.190 (this does not work). Router has no Info (address).
Other pictures show the same network address now with my IP being 192.168.1.224 and router have the address 192.168.1.1.
All the while connected to the same WiFi.

turning off the wifi on the provider box doesn't disable its routing function and puts you in a double nat.
What actual modem/gateway do you have?
have you tried putting it in passthrough/modem only mode?
Or the Orbi in access point mode?
Hi,
thank you for your questions.
The modem is a F@st 5670. It has DHCP enabled.
The Orbi is in AP mode to avoid double NAT. It is a MESH of 3 Orbi. The Master is on the first floor, where the modem is (about 50cm from the modem). Slave 1 is connected with LAN (it is on the gorund floor), Slave 2 is also on the first floor together with the Master but with WiFi connection (diagonal in the other corner of the house).

Is the hardwired satellite plugged into the lan on the primary router?
