RBS750 satellite question

Ethernet ports are present on Orbi satellites specifically so users can connect devices to the satellites with Ethernet cable.
This is independent of the firmware release. One of the annoying features of the Orbi system is that the Firmware Update page does not always report the latest firmware release that can be found on the firmware update web site:

Did you disconnect the WiFi adapter from the Orbi network before plugging in the Ethernet cable?
Is there another Ethernet cable handy that can be used to see if the cable might be a problem?
I didn't know that the firmware situation was a thing. It's currently running v4.6.14.3
So I'll have to dig as to how to manually update it and see if that helps with anything as well as getting a new cable and seeing if that helps.
