RBS850 as satellite to Orbi 970?
It’s almost 2026, what have you found? To buy the new system wifi7 and run your 850w/ satellites in your outbuildings?
perhaps just the main router is best with cheap $20 or less extenders, at least they can work with any system and just boost the signal whatever it may be especially with the cost of their satellites that only work with the same model router. I have the 850 with 5 additional satellites just to cover my 5000 sq ft house and still no service in many areas connected to Starlink. I get the Starlink w/1 everywhere but the Orbi… well just sad really.
Im interested to see what you are doing. Running VPN? From routers ? Dark web?

Orbi AX series is NOT compatible with Orbi BE series systems: https://kb.netgear.com/000065169/Which-Orbi-routers-and-satellites-are-compatible
For my 5000 sq ft home, I only use two RBS and get great coverage.
Orbi isn't really designed to cover remote buildings. If there is ethernet infrastructure between the home and remote buildings, one can put ethernet connected RBS in remote locations. They have to be compatible though.
