RBS850 assigning new IP addresses to existing devices that were assigned a static IP address

I have the AX6000 RBS850 which i have had for a month. Its a nightmare. One of the issues is that i have a list of devices that need to have static IP's so i assigned them. I have had to reboot the router a couple of times and despite having a static IP assigned to a MAC adress it gives it the IPAdress of aother device and then i have to reboot those devices or it brings my network down.

Plus you still cant get extra satellites. So sadly i third of my house is offline anyway. How do i solve this. How exactly could it do this? THEY ARE ASSIGNED.

There is a difference, at least for standard networking protocols. IP address reservatiions are just that IP address reservations that set a IP address for a partcular device ON the router and held, assigned and given by the router to the assigned device when it comes online, it gets this same IP address always. It doesn't change. A user configures this ON the router. Not the device.&nbsp;&nbsp;Static IP address assignements are not given, configured or held by a router or DHCP server. It's set ON the device that one wants to give an Static IP address too. So when device is turned on, the IP address is already used by the device and just go thru the router. This IP address doesn't change unless the user changes it ON the device it was assigned on. These Static IP addresses need to be out side the DHCP IP address pool. So if one wants a static IP address on a NG router, one needs to adjust the default DHCP IP address pool to make room for these static IP addressed devices as they should not reside with in the default IP address pool since NG defaults the pool from .2 to .254.&nbsp;&nbsp;

What Firmware version is currently loaded?

By static do you mean set on devices or as in IP address reservation set ON the router. There is a difference.

I've got v32 loaded on my and both RBS are ethernet connected. IP address reservations for the RBS and 1 wired PC. DHCP IP address pool on mine is set for .100 thru .150 for my needs. I on'y have about 30 devices. I have a few cameras, printers and NAS which at set to static IPs outside the DHCP IP address pool. Everything else is Dynamic IP addressed assigned.

Everything else is Dynamic IP addressed assigned.&nbsp;MY DHCP adress range is the default 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254.&nbsp; &nbsp; and my&nbsp;&nbsp;Firmware Version isV3.2.15.25_1.3.15.&nbsp;under the advanced tab "attahced devices"&nbsp; &nbsp;i have added about a dozon adress reservations.&nbsp; They are in the same range as the default.&nbsp; &nbsp; Are you suggesting that the router will step on "RESERVATIONS" because they are in the range?&nbsp; &nbsp; I woudl hope not.&nbsp;

No. Reservations should be with in the routers iP address pool. Static IPs belong out side the pool which you don't have room for that.&nbsp;

I don’t think I understand the terminology clearly enough to understand what you said? What is the difference between a static ip and a reservation. I thought creating a reservation, Creates a static IP. Is that not true? What I want is for these devices to always have the same up adresses and to never get assigned a different one.
