RBS850 Wi-Fi disabling

I need to use an RBS850 for an Ethernet connection only. However, other Wi-Fi devices connect to it. How can I prevent Wi-Fi connections to this satellite??

  • For any gaming for simulator applications, ethernet connection from the game console or PC would be recommended to ethernet connect to the RBR for best and optimal performances. They make varied lengths of LAN cabling to support distances needed. CAT6 UTP is recommended.

As mentioned, Wi-Fi on any Orbi system can not be disabled. Would negate the intended design and use of a MESH system as it's supposed to be online and running all the time.

The problem is MS Flight Simulator (the program creating this need due to the very high use of resources), runs smoother when it’s connected to a dedicated router via ethernet, for what I researched. I have an older Orbi router/satellite that I can connect to the cable modem. I’ll test it to find out if that makes a difference, as I currently can’t evaluate with the RBS850 limitation. I have over 30 Wi-Fi devices connected to this satellite, and over 100 devices connected to the router and 2 satellites, including this one.

And also, this is using the Quest 3 VR headset, which in turn, needs more resources. If you have other suggestions, please let me know.
