RBSE960 advertises old SSID network names
Hi,
I have updated the guest SSID on our Orbi mesh network. The new SSID appears ok, however the old one continues to show up as well. I have tried several client devices (iPhones, Windows laptops, Macs) - all show the old guest SSID as well as the new SSID.
However, when I turn off the satellites in the Orbi mesh (3 x RBSE960s units), the old network SSID name disappears, leaving just the correct guest network SSID. When I turn the satellites back on, the old SSID name reappears.
The main router (RBRE960) and the satellites (3 x RBSE960s) are all running the latest firmware: V7.2.6.31.
Anyone have any ideas on how to encourage the satellites to stop broadcasting the old SSID?
Thanks,
Simon.

Try factory resetting the satellite (push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on).
Then re-sync it to the router and see if that fixes is.

Hi, thanks for your reply!
Yes, I can try a factory reset of the satellite(s). I was hoping to avoid something like that, but I guess I might not have a choice.
The satellites have a wired backbone to the main router. Perhaps I will try disconnecting them and making it a Wi-Fi backbone in case that helps (granted, I am clutching at straws here...). If it doesn't, I will go with the factory reset option.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
I'll post back once I've tried.
Cheers,
Simon.
