I've tested with MSI and Lenovo laptops, and with an Android phone. Similar results across the board. If I can get a large enough block of time to work through it, I may attempt the firmware downgrade. If I do, I'll report back here.
v.21 is the most stable and recommended version of FW:

You'll need to factory reset and setup from scratch after you apply the FW to the RBS first, then RBR lastly.
