Speed Issues RBR850
I have a verizon modem that gives 1GB up and down. When I wire into it I can confirm the speeds. When my RBR850 is connected to it, I only get 100MB up and down. Not sure why any advice? NOTE: On...
I tried # 2 and got a new CR1000A.
Still not working. I know that if I plug my computer directly into the CR1000A then I get Full Duplex 1,000 Mbps. when the RBR850 is wired via CAT6 to the CR1000A it just give me Full Duplex 100 Mbps. This tells me that the CR1000A should work if the RBR850 could accept the higher speed. Is there a setting on it that would allow it to accept a faster connection?
Sounds like some interoperability issue at the CR level. The 850 supports 1000Mpbs as mine does this all day along.
Something you can try, get you a non managed 1Gb LAN switch, something like NGs GS105 or GS305. Install it in between the CR modem and the RBR. Only connect these two devices to this switch. Nothing else.
See if this changes anything. The switch will have LED indications for 100 or 1000Mbps speeds. You should see 1000Mbps between the two connected at the switch.
Or see if the ISP can help you remove the CR router and got directly with the RBR. You'll need to ask them about that though.
