Request Feature to Allow Hiding of SSID Broadcast
I have an RBR760 system....
I submitted a suggestion to Netgear Support. Support indicated that I needed to make my suggestion on this community...
My suggestion: Provide a feature allowing Orbi users the option of turn off SSID broadcast...It seems like quite a number of users desire this feature...
My case number is 46885286
Thank you.

Probably not something that will be done on Orbi systems nor on most wifi routers. Any good wifi scanner can SEE hidden SSIDs. Even simple scanners can see the wireless hidden backhaul channel.
You can certainly post your request here though:

Thanks for the feedback link...!
You are probably aware that this request has been made many times, and nothing has come of any of the requests.
It might be useful to understand what has prompted this request.
- Historically, hiding WiFi SSID was a common 'security' recommendation.
- Users often over-react to instructions on Internet of Things (IoT) devices, "MUST have 2.4G WiFi" and believe that stopping the 5G WiFi SSID is necessary, when all the instructions are saying is the obvious. "no 2.4G WiFi: cannot work."
I have lost track of the number of IoT gizmos I successfully connected to my Orbi while the phone was connected at 5G.
