Risk in disabling DHCP?
I'm considering logging turning DHCP off on my Orbi (RBR850) and turning DHCP server on my piHole already running on my network.
Before doing this, I'm curious - if my pihole fails or goes offline for some reason, will I be able to regain access to the Orbi router settings as normal through http://orbilogin.com/?
Thanks in advance. I'm sure this is a basic question and probably is just a lack of me fully understanding DHCP.
Yes you should be able too. Or at 192.168.1.1, you might have to set a static IP address on a wired PC to 192.168.1.49 as well until DHCP services are returned to operations.
