"Self-assigned IP" on MacOS Sequoia when trying to connect via Ethernet
I'm trying to connect my MacBook Pro running MacOS Sequoia 15.7.2 via ethernet to my Orbi Satellite. I get the status "Self-assigned IP" in the Network tab in System Settings under the Ethernet Port'...

Apologies, should have included this in the main post:
On the MacBook, when using the 1Gbps ports on the Satellite, ethernet works, but when using the 2.5Gbps port on the satellite, Ethernet does not work. The 2.5Gbps port works with the Xbox perfectly fine as stated earlier.

Does your MacBook ethernet adapter support 2.5 gbps? If not, you might as well just use the 1 gpbs port.

Did you try
- disconnecting and reconnecting the adapter from the macbook when the problem happens?
- rebooting the macbook?
This could be an issue with either the satellite multigig port or with the adapter.
If you have a second satellite, you could also try swapping them.
