Sengled LED bulbs stopped working; can no longer get on network
I had a Sengled WiFi color LED light bulb at home which had been working for more than a year. A couple months ago, that bulb stopped working. After I was unable to successfully reset and re-pair that bulb, I installed a new one, only to find that it (and one more new bulb) could no longer get on the network, either.
I contacted Sengled and they ended up sending me replacement bulbs. However, the replacement bulbs have the exact same behavior where the phone app can see and connect to the bulb, but the bulb could not join the network.
I have since verified this behavior with my Orbi network at my office.
It seems somewhat unlikely that multiple bulbs (including older but unused bulb and a brand new bulb) would exhibit the same hardware faults. So I am now wondering if it might be due to changes in the way the Orbi network is operating?
So far, I've not seen other people reporting any Orbi-specific issues. But I have noticed there has been a recent uptick in negative Amazon reviews for the bulb complaining about the bulb not being able to be set up for WiFi. Perhaps there's a recent firmware change that has broken the operation of these bulbs?

- FarmerBob1LuminaryI am finding that I have to really strip down network settings for this myriad of worldly devices and create an environment where they are able to operate at their fullest. That means turning off 99% of the support and feature settings. And in time experimentationly adding back in certain features that help the whole.
I mean really dumbing it down to a bare minimum. If this is the bulb, Amazon says I can have it May 21:
Happy to try it on a couple of Orbi systems and see what happens.
(That was NOT the correct bulb. "My Bad" for not reading carefully.)
Amazon just delivered a pair of sengled W31-N15 color bulbs. Works with Orbi!
- App download and setup is ordinary.
- Smartphone was connected to Orbi at 5G. (Yes, the instructions prattle on about "must be connected to 2.4G WiFi", but that was not the case.)
- Did not elect to control bulb with Alexa or Google.
- Added one bulb following instructions. No problem. The app found the bulb. Not the quickest I've seen, but it did find it.
- Fairly tedious process of defining the "Room" and putting bulb into room. Found the app really confusing. It kept saying I was attempting to cancel the setup when all I wanted to do was see it turn on and off.
- Found defining the color especially frustrating.
- Anyway, color is set. Turns on and off with app.
- Phone remains connected at 5G.
If one of these has quit working, it may have failed.
