[Solved] RBR760 "wan lan conflict": /conflict page 404, satellites not syncing, 5G Channel 0

Posting this in case it helps others, since I couldn't find this exact fix anywhere.

My RBK760 had been running degraded for a while: magenta satellite, 5 GHz radio showing "Channel 0", backhaul stuck at 573M (2.4 GHz), ~90 Mbps in the rooms served by satellites. The web panel was unusable too: it redirected to /conflict, which the router itself answers with a 404.

Cause: the ISP modem and the Orbi were both on 192.168.1.x. The firmware detects the "wan lan conflict", moves the LAN to 10.0.0.1 and blocks the API (code 8) until you press CONTINUE on a page it never serves. The conflict came back after every reboot.

What fixed it: I got past the broken page once, moved the modem to another subnet (192.168.10.x), did a Release/Renew on the Orbi WAN and rebooted once. After ~15 minutes the satellites moved to the 5 GHz backhaul (2401M) and speed went back up.

Full step-by-step guide (EN/IT/ES), plus a small Playwright script that presses CONTINUE for you and a caching proxy for the panel on weak Wi-Fi:

Tested on RBR760 firmware V6.3.8.13_1.4.84. Feedback from other models is welcome.

Been known if you have a host router upstream from an Orbi router, and if other router uses same default LAN subnet 192.168.1.1, this is a conflict and can't be used.

The Orbi RBR should have detected this and auto changed it's own IP address to a 10.x something address. Odd that it didn't.
All that was needed was to change the RBRs LAN IP address on it's web page to something else. Just have the WAN port disconnected from the host router untill the change takes place. No external scriping neede. I generally use 192.168.0.1 for my systems. Zero issues.
Also one could change the default IP address of the host router upstream as well so the RBR could remain at 192.168.1.1 if thats what users want.

    Glad you got it working.

Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
