The router config page shows "ERROR Not Connected" in the "Internet"

I'm having the same problem with my RBR350 and RBS350 combo. The router config page shows "ERROR Not Connected" in the "Internet" box but everything is connecting to internet with absolutely no problem at all. Even the router itself can sync time and check for firmware update from the internet. Mine is also in AP mode with DHCP service off. I think this is a very mindless and easy to spot bug that they never bothered to fix since it probably only shows up in the router config page. The "Internet" section in the settings is greyed out when the router is in AP mode, so the firmware is probably blocking itself from starting the process to check for internet connection.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

Be sure your connecting the RBRs yellow WAN port to the host routers LAN port for the RBR in AP mode.

Check your RBR AP mode configuration as well: Static IP Address Configuration for AP Mode | NETGEAR Communities

It is a bit frustrating (perhaps even annoying) that Netgear does not publish anything about how this condition is identified.  Just a couple of sentences would suffice, such as "the router sends ICMP (ping) to a specific IP address and if it gets a confirmation, then internet IS connected.  If not, then Internet is NOT connected."

For example, my RBR50 has been on-line for 22 days (since Edison blessed us with a brief outage).  Yet, when I open the router web interface Basic Tab Home Page, the Internet status shows as "Waiting".  Waiting for WHAT?  In a few seconds, it changes to "Good".  Obviously, the router is doing something, but we have no idea what.

Would it be convenient to post a screen shot of that error message?
