Where are my wired devices?! RBS850
Hello,
I recently purchased and setup an RBS850 system. One satellite. I'm having some strange difficulties with ethernet-wired devices to the satellite. They are getting DHCP addresses, and are reachable (great!) But they neither show up in Orbi's "connected devices" list, nor if I log in to the satellite's admin UI do they show up.
But I can see they are connected and functional. I can VNC and access them just fine. But I search for the IP in either gui under registered devices, and nothing. On my satellite, which has 3 ethernet connected devices, 2 of which I have verified have an IP and are fully functional, it shows.. one wired device with no IP address.
This creates difficulties in reserving IP addresses for those devices. It's quite.. odd.
Firmware: V4.6.14.3_2.3.12 |
Has anyone encountered this behavior, and if so, what did you do to resolve?
Thank you
Ya, may not be available thru that method so you can manually load it. RBS first, RBR lastly.

Do the devices appear when connected to the RBR directly and show on the RBRs web page?
What ethernet connected devices are connected to the RBS?
Your behind on FW:

Thanks! Of course the admin UI shows that they are on the latest. I'll start there.
There are no ethernet devices currently connected to the RBR, they are all connected to the RBS. There are three: Synology NAS, Hue Hub, and a Mac Mini.

How is it setup? Is the satellite hardwired in or wireless?
if its hardwired, how is it connected?
Make sure to go gateway----->orbi router-----switch/satellite
