Like the post from FURRYe38​ shows, they're not compatible. You'd need the RBR50/40 to have compatibility with the RBS50.&nbsp;

I just replaced RBR50 with RBR850. It has no issue to conducted two RBS50. All 200 devices are working cross 6000 square feet property.

What a fascinating experiment.&nbsp; When a mobile device (phone, tablet, laptop) moves from very close to the RBR850 router to very close to one of the RBS50 satellites (and back), what do you observe about the device WiFi connection?

i.e. does it start as WiFi6 (802.11ax), then change to WiFi5 (802.11ac) when it gets to the RBS50, then change back to WiFi6 when it returns to the RBR850?

This is not idle curiosity.&nbsp; It is patently obvious that the 850 and 50 systems are not "compatible".

The original 50 system is WiFi5 (802.11ac), whereas
The 850 system is WiFi6 (802.11ax)

Obviously, an RBR50 satellite cannot connect to an RBR850 router because the backhaul connection is 802.11ax, which the RBS50 does not support.
Nor can the RBS50 satellite support WiFi6 device connections.
Thus, it is entirely obvious that they (a) cannot establish a WiFi backhaul connection, and (b) cannot support 802.11ax WiFi clients.&nbsp; So...... not "compatible".

However, just suppose (a stretch to be sure) that the 'wired' backhaul connection can function between an RBR850 router and an RBS50 satellite.&nbsp; WiFi6 (802.11ax) devices are backward compatible with WiFi5 .&nbsp; So, perhaps, a WiFi device can connect to the RBS50 satellite to get a network connection, and that mobile WiFi devices can roam seamlessly between the 850 router and 50 satellites.

This would allow a person to replace the RBR50 router which has a gigabit WAN port, with an RBR850 router, which has a 2.5GB WAN port.&nbsp; Increase network speed, but not spend too much.
