As an observation, people seem less interested in diagnosing problems with older firmware versions.

Thanks CrimpOn, the corporate VPN was the culprit. I'm going to update the firmware anyhow as per your advise as it old. Relatively new to Orbi I'd been using update firmware which was reporting I had the latest, not realising it was the latest for that Orbi release. I'm now working through the process and correct squence of manual updating the firmware.
