Don't know about square footage but 4 bed detached with an extension on the back. One of the satellites is probably a bit close but the other is probably at the 30 foot mark. Any reason that should cause a 12 hourly renegotiation? In-between times they work really well...

IF one RBS is too close, move it out to the 30 foot mark or farther, or try testing the system with just one RBS. Turn one OFF.
Set channels 1 and 40 or 11 and 48.
Might factory reset the system and then setup from scratch as well. Follow this guide:

Interesting that the KB article doesn't actually state a minimum distance, did you find that somewhere else? I've been told by Netgear support that 30ft is the maximum distance...
Anyway, turned off the closest satellite so just have the gateway and the one at 30ft. No change, every 12 hours the connection between the gateway and satellite bounces.
Still no one has managed to explain the regular time interval... is it scheduled? memory leak of some kind?- FURRYe38Jun 11, 2026Guru - Experienced User
There used to be a KB that had this information. NG took it down for unknown reasons. Also experience in working with these systems has shown that 30 feet is a good starting distance, depending on building materials as well, then placement after that out from the RBR, can increase up to where the signal starts to drop in between. Some users have posted having 50-60 feet or more with good operation.
Who ever told you 30 feet is max is incorrect. These things broadcast signals at a good distance past 30 feet and anything closer then that in between the RBR and RBS can cause problems with the wifi signal overlap in between the RBR and RBS. So why we recommend starting at 30 feet then going farther from there.
Have you performed the factory reset and setup from scratch to see if this clears this issue. If so, then you'll need to keep in contact with NG support. You might ask to see if there is a beta available that you could test.
