771 LAG issues

I have exactly the same issue, the router lags on the same minute every hour (From when it is booted), I've tried everything, every new FW for the last 11 months, disabled IPV6, Armor, Traffic Meter etc, I am an electronic engineer by profession and I know my network setup and ISP is good. I bought this for my family that games everyday and the lag is very infuriating when online gaming, this router was supposed to be an upgrade from our RBR750 mesh, I have tried our PCs hardwired into the satellites and over WiFi but the issue persists on both connection types, I have bought Netgear routers for around 20 yrs now as they have been very stable with no issues but the RBE77 1 is this worst experience I have ever had. I've been holding on for a FW fix however since the problem has not been fixed with any FW update this year I'm now at the point of switching brands for the first time in 20 yrs.

  • For the past 11 months my Orbi RBE771 lags every hour on the same minute from when it is booted. This lag lasts for about 30 - 60 seconds. I have tried disabling IPV6, Armor, Traffic Meter etc. The issue happens when wired to the satellites or connected over WiFi. This mesh system is used for gaming and it was purchased for its high speed 2.5Gbps ports on the satellites. The lag during gaming  is finally getting unbearable. I have updated every FW version that has came out this year but the problem still persists. Does anyone have a fix for this?

What do you mean by LAGs?

Please give more details about this. What is happenging?

What brand and model# devices are connected to the system?

Is this happening at the RBR or at the RBS or both?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.

      How many RBS are deployed?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF?
Does this happen with both wireless and wired devices?
What channel configurations are currently set on the router?
