I’ve had non-stop issues with my Orbi RBE771 WiFi 7 mesh system. I recently started getting this message when new devices connect to my network…this was after a case I had open with Netgear for about 6 weeks. I’m starting to regret this purchase. Anyone have a fix for this:

I have a RBE771 router running firmware version 10.5.19.5 and two satellites running the same firmware, with 5ghz and 6ghz networks.

There is nothing to fix. Netgear Orbi routers have a separate WiFi network that is used to connect the router and satellites, that people describe as the "backhaul". On the original WiFi5 and the newer WiFi6 systems, this network had a fairly unique name and very long password. Those routers did not broadcast the network SSID, and thus those networks were not picked up by user WiFi devices. The newest WiFi7 Orbi models
- Assign a unique name to this network consisting of "NTGRBH" (Netgear Back Haul) plus a long unique number. The password is also incredibly long so that no user will ever be able to guess it.
- However, the SSID of this network is broadcasted, and thus consumer devices can detect it and suggest that users connect to it. With a password that they can never guess, it is impossible to connect to this network.
- Netgear was informed of the issues this change has caused for users. As far as I am aware, there has never been a published explanation for this decision, nor has netgear issued new firmware to fix it.
Just ignore it.
