I haven't upgraded to Fiber in my home. After putting in CAT6A STP during building of new addition, happy with 10Gb support here.
I would presume it's possible if you have Fiber to Ethernet adapters that the RBR and RBS would be connected too. Should be possible if the Fiber to ethernet doesn't block any thing that Orbi needs to fully sync the RBS. I've seen posts of users using power line adapters with Orbi systems so that seems to work.
You might try a sampling of the Fiber devices with the Orbi system to see if they work correctly first before going full installation. Non managed switches are preferred for ease of Orbi connections and configurations.
FYI, there is no just thing as CAT6e. CAT5e though.

I think this is a great idea.... Will do that kind of "lab test" to see if a fiber adapter works between the RBR and RBS. Will advise.
