Here is a link to disable the 20/40MHz: https://kb.netgear.com/30228/How-do-I-disable-20-40-MHz-coexistence-on-my-NETGEAR-router
Then try setting the "2.4GHz" to one of the non-overlapping "European" channels these are channels 1, 7 & 13 in Europe. "I have mine set to channel 13".

Then power cycle the entire system and see how you get on.
