Having this exact same problem, I blamed everything other than the router over 9 months but after a lot of messing about it's still hopeless. They won't refund me (apparently nether dont do that) an...

- I have tons of devices, smart TV, speakers, computers, security, cameras, alarms etc - its why I wanted a powerful system that could handle it all.
- 970 with x2 satellites
- not sure but I checked with the bloke on the phone and it is up to date
- modem is
- will replace this just in case, but it should be ok
- 1000 sf (roughly)
- bout 20ish I think and 25 ish for the other but any further and they struggle to find each other - I can play around I guess.
- I can try turning off the satellites for a bit and see if there is an improvement - will come back about this - its just taht the signaldoesnt then cover the whole house.
- only wireless devices area problem although I obviously dont move around with wired devices so much
- can you give more info here? I did play around with them with guidance from the phone support but had no impact.
- will try this
Thankyou:-)

Ok so I see a couple of items that maybe a cause of what your having problems with....
- 1000sf? if so then having the router and 2 satellites is not going to work well in the small sized home. The RBR alone can handle that size. Having that and two satellites all under that size of home is going to be over saturating the home and the system and wifi signal over lap is going to be problematic for your connecting devices. Lets turn OFF both RBS for now and run just the router unit. The 973 series was not designed for that size of home. I've got a 5000sq ft home and can get away with the router and just one satellite wired or wireless.
- And yes, even if you had a larger home, the distances between the router and satellites needs to start at 30 feet or more. Anything less causes wifi signal overlap issues.
- What is brand and model# of the ISP modem the router is connected too?
- How many in total devices do you have?
