Have you tried disabling Netgear Armor? I had to disable it with my 970 as Armor was seeing some devices as a threat and not allowing a connection. The PS5 was one of the devices it would happen with, but now with Armor disabled, it will stay connected all day long.

To set up a BQM, use ThinkBroadband, but you will have to enable "respond to ping on internet port," which you will find in the advanced tab, then setup, WAN setup. The blue highlighted box with a white tick means enabled in your 970 web UI before you set up a BQM.
To check power levels on the Hub 5, go to the Hub 5 web UI. On the login screen, at the bottom of the page, click on "check router status." It should give you all the information there, like power levels, SNR, and all Hub 5 stats. If you screenshot all tabs on that and PM me the screenshots, I will have a look for you.
