You might try 149, and see if the phone "sees" that.

So 44 and 149 are the only channels available for the client side - this would indicate an FCC version Orbi, isn't it?

Vaguely remember, the screenshot showed44 plus a different channel to select. These Orbis make use of 160 MHz bandwidth. So I conclude, thst isn't an FCC version.
Unless I missed something, the OP TOPS119 never unveiled the effective island location, so still digging in the dark.
Said that: I'm with Netgear support - region blocking, and/or a mix of different regulatory devices (whereas the mobile phones - both Pixel and Sammy) are taking and adjusting based on the GPS location - while the Orbi (at least if we face an FCC version) can't re-configured.

So based on the fact I just told you the phone showed me wifi 6E afyer the first update and connected to the 6ghz band not even the 5ghz but the 6ghz band . You guys still talking about region ? Only reason why it never said wifi 7 is because the s23 doesn't have wifi 7. I think is a software issue as we are not allowed to play with the bands orbi has limit us to what we can do they will have to change the band to what Samsung uses. But if the band was the issue how did it work after the first update is what puzzling me.

update of what, which version, ...?
Look dear TOPS119 : You talk to community members on very different areas on the planet.
On which island are you having your home base now please? Can't be so difficult to answer a few questions. No worries: We won't visit you there....

Where I'm at I'm sure you won't try and visit but for me to answer questions you need to ask the questions you want answered. We speaking about the island of Jamaica. The phone is now on Samsung lastest os on which it stop working. I don't know what version of the os it was working on based on the fact I was just doing an update and both updates came in one after the other.

Please confirm whether Wi-Fi 7 is currently permitted in Jamaica, and if so, what frequency bands are allocated for its operation? Additionally, could you provide the official regulation or a screenshot of the relevant section where this information can be verified?
Wi-Fi 7 is not explicitly listed in Jamaica’s National Frequency Allocation Table (NFAT), but it operates within bands that are already designated for license-exempt use, such as 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, and potentially 6 GHz in the future. The current allocations include 2.4–2.4835 GHz for the 2.4 GHz band and 5.725–5.850 GHz for the 5 GHz band. The 6 GHz band has not yet been confirmed for license-exempt use in Jamaica. For detailed information, refer to the NFAT 2024 and the Licence-Exempt Spectrum Rules.
Note the allowed 5 ghz channels are 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 100, 104, 108, 112, 116, 120, 124, 128, 132, 136, 140, 149, 153, 157, 161, and 165

Let's not Google what bands work from what don't as I told you above all my other devices that are wifi 7 is working fine. Also mention these same phones that are not working on the orbi works fine on the Google router with 5ghz band.

schumaku suggested the connectivity problem is due to regulatory constraints imposed by Samsung. Since that could be true, understanding what those constraints are in Jamaica is relevant. Which is why he asked what country you are in. Those constraints suggest that 6 ghz won't be available on the phone, and might not be available in the router. But all 5 ghz channels ought to be available, so regulatory constraints should not be a factor there.
Keep in mind that we are just other users who are trying to help you sort out your issues. Scolding us for asking questions you think aren't relevant isn't productive.

Have you checked that again after the recent phone updates?
Are there any settings that are different in the google router?
