Did anybody with samsung s25 phones figure out how to connect to wifi 7

schumaku​   That isn’t correct, at least not for the Orbi 970 series with current firmware. The 970 supports MLO on the client-facing/fronthaul side as well as using MLO for its Enhanced Dedicated Backhaul. NETGEAR’s own Orbi 970 user manual describes MLO as allowing WiFi 7 devices to use multiple WiFi bands and specifically lists improved client reliability through “multiple links concurrently.”

 

More directly, I have WiFi 7 clients connected to my RBE971 right now, and the Orbi Attached Devices page reports their connection type as 5GHz + 6GHz, rather than simply 5GHz or 6GHz. See the attached screenshot of the router web admin device list showing this. That is the client using MLO across the two links.

 

The wireless backhaul also uses MLO — NETGEAR calls this Enhanced Dedicated Backhaul — combining the dedicated 5GHz backhaul with 6GHz. So MLO isn’t limited to the backhaul on the 970.

 

It may be that this information dates from early 970 firmware, when WiFi 7/MLO client support was still evolving, but it doesn’t describe the current 970 implementation. I believe all the current latest Orbi routers (770, 870, 970) support MLO and WiFi 7.  Maybe you are discussing another model router?
