With the Orbi router (and previous Netgear routers) I found the only way to activate IPv6 is first use Auto Config. This will then default to 6to 4 Tunnel and give you a Router's IPv6 Address On L...

Since you mentioned the issue I I have been checking daily or even more often. If I am in my house for a prolonged period of time I can lose IPv6 on my phone. Switching to cellular and back to WiFi resolves the problem for me. Perhaps it is a Samsung problem.

Ok, so you are having the same issue as me where ipv6 is dropping out on the phone after a while. It was doing it on a moto g phone. I never had an issue getting ipv6 just keeping it working on the phones. It is annoying because while on wifi I wont get messages till I disconnect and reconnect to wifi which I wont know about till I pick up my phone to do something. I just reverted back to an old firmware build. Which I think it always works is because the phone will randomly drop connection and reconnect. Seems to be a renew issue for ipv6 on the newer firmware since the phone wont disconnect. It is not an ISP issue since at the same time other device are getting ipv6 while the phone is not. If it was and IPS issue nothing would be getting an ipv6 address.

Yes, I agree, older devices stay on IPv6 constantly with no issues. I too have no issues or problems getting the newer devices to connect to IPv6, they just don’t stay connected. I am on the Orbi 970 system, the latest firmware is definitely much better, it’s just not there yet. Besides this problem, I still get flips from Wi-Fi to cellular on newer devices, although much less frequently. I also see memory creep on one of my satellites, the one that’s the busiest, and that will eventually crash, a kernel panic, and restart. It’s all been submitted, and NETGEAR is looking at it all. So those four problems are the headaches for me right now. I’m hoping for some more firmware updates, but it was about eight or nine months to get this one?
