What speeds are you getting with the daisy-chain? If it is giving good performance now, then maybe leave well enough alone.
How many satellites? How much time are you giving the mesh to stabilize?
Generally the mesh prefers direct connection between the router and the satellites. If that's not happening, then the usual cause is that the router wifi isn't providing a good connection to the satellites.
Try turning off the satellites, and measuring the router wifi signal strength at the satellite locations with your phone. Speedtest is also worth running.
Ideally you want -65 RSSI or better at the satellite location (since the numbers are negative, smaller values are more powerful).
Thanks for the insight. I think I might start over. The funny part is that I had just upgraded from my Orbi Wi-Fi seven 770s in the exact same locations which all perfectly synced to the router directly with the 870s for some reason it’s finding stronger signal with the other satellites I may do factory reboot and restart the whole process again with the router being out in the open and do each satellite slowly.
Would be helpful to see a floor diagram and layout of where the RBR and RBS is from each other.
Also the 870 maybe a bit more powerful than the 770 series which you may not need as many RBS. Depends on home size.
